You need to temporarily fix it into place by using the pre drilled mounting holes to screw in the top of the frame. Once you’ve assembled the outside of your frame, place it in position and take care to screw into the existing holes. The top and bottom of your T post will be labelled - in this case, “B” for bottom. If you’re using a Z frame with a sill, your bottom frame needs to be screwed on.ĭepending on the design of your shutters, you may need to install a T post. Set your panels aside and look at your frame. Open your box by cutting carefully along the tape with a knife and removing the packaging. This marks where your hardware (mounting screws, hinge pins, locking screws, and hinge packers) have been packed.
